EHSI has an immediate need for an AHERA Building Inspector/Project Designer/Project Manager in its Hazardous Materials Group in our Seattle, Washington office. This individual will perform, coordinate, and lead field investigations involving regulated building materials and industrial hygiene services as well as marketing for future opportunities. Additional responsibilities will include: Preparing abatement design documents and monitoring hazardous material abatement.
Individual must be capable of supervising and coordinating technical personnel to complete projects on schedule and within billable time objectives.
Candidate must be a United States citizen.
The successful candidates for mid-level positions will have 5+ years of experience and for senior-level positions will have 10+ years of experience in supervising asbestos inspections, creation of abatement design specifications, project supervision, and health/safety consulting. Previous experience in supervision and development of staff is preferred. Required AHERA certifications include inspector and project designer. Ability to provide asbestos, lead, and other health/safety training, and to conduct and oversee lead-based paint inspections and abatements are a plus. BS degree or equivalent experience in a related field is mandatory. The ability to support in Business Development activities is a plus. A strong background in construction, demolition or abatement procedures is a plus. Strong project management skills, attention to detail, and in-depth knowledge of EPA AHERA and Washington State asbestos regulations and protocols are mandatory. Candidate will be expected to travel out of state and work off shifts (i.e., swing shifts) periodically.
