EHSI Awarded USACE Omaha District $2M Heavy Metal Dust Abatement Project

EHSI was recently awarded a $2 million contract by the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Omaha District to abate heavy metal dust at a hangar at Grand Forks Airforce Base in North Dakota. The project includes complete management of the abatement, worker health and safety, hazardous waste disposal, and final clearances. Hazardous materials to be remediated are lead, cadmium, and chromium. Project deliverables include a Health and Safety Plan (HASP), Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA), Sampling and Analysis Plan (SAP), Quality Control Plan, permitting, and final report. Due to security badging requirements and weather the abatement work on this project will begin in early 2017. This 18-month project was awarded by the USACE Omaha District utilizing EHSI’s Environmental Remediation Services (ERS) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with the USACE Seattle District.
