EHSI has an opening for a part-time air sampling technician to collect test samples in the early mornings. Candidate will drive an established route stopping at 6 or 7 outdoor stations in the greater Seattle area to collect samples and record data. Scope of duties includes computer data entry of data into a database. Mechanically inclined aptitude also a plus for periodic pump maintenance and repair. Some Software/IT experience is also a plus. This is a good opportunity for a student or a retiree. Weekly scheduled hours includes weekends with weekday days off. Hours are negotiable and can begin between 4:00-6:00 am and ends 10:00-11:00 am depending on route and traffic.
There is some physical activity involved and the employee may be expected to lift 50 lbs.The position requires a good driving record and must be a US citizen.
EHSI is seeking an experienced Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) to join our team.
Duties include business development; compliance auditing; conducting lead and asbestos awareness training classes; managing project teams and staff; preparation of asbestos O&M plans; preparation of health and safety plans (HASPs); and survey for hazardous materials including asbestos, lead and mold. Most of EHSI projects are in the Puget Sound area however, some travel may be required.
Applicants must be US Citizens. Candidates must have current CIH certifications, 5+ years’ experience in commercial facility consulting, and BS in Environmental Science or related field, strong technical and project management skills, supervisory experience and be proficient in MS Word and Excel.
Additional desired qualifications include AutoCAD LT experience, lead assessor certification, and AHERA inspector, designer and management planner certifications.
EHSI is seeking a Senior Geologist/hydrogeologist for immediate employment. Candidate should be experienced in all aspects of assessment and remediation from initial Transaction Screens, Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), remediation design and implementation, underground storage tank (UST) closure and remediation, subsurface investigations, and vapor intrusion to close-out and “No Further Action” designations.
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in environmental science/engineering/geology/hydrogeology.
Five to ten years of professional experience.
Professional registration (geologist/hydrogeologist) required.
DOD and USACE experience preferred with knowledge of environmental project design development, estimating, reporting and QA/QC protocols.
Strong project management skills and attention to detail
In-depth knowledge of CERCLA, RCRA, and Washington State regulations (i.e., MTCA).
